All's Well That Ends Well by William Shakespeare
Act 3 - Scene 3
Florence. Before the DUKE’s palace.
Duke of Florence : The general of our horse thou art; and we,
[p]Great in our hope, lay
our best love and credence
[p]Upon thy promising fortune.
Bertram : Sir, it is
[p]A charge too heavy for my strength, but yet
[p]We'll
strive to bear it for your worthy sake
[p]To the extreme edge of
hazard.
Duke of Florence : Then go thou forth;
[p]And fortune play upon thy prosperous
helm,
[p]As thy auspicious mistress!
Bertram : This very day,
[p]Great Mars, I put myself into thy file:
[p]Make me
but like my thoughts, and I shall prove
[p]A lover of thy drum, hater
of love.
