Two Gentlemen of Verona by William Shakespeare
Act 5 - Scene 1
Milan. An abbey.
Eglamour : The sun begins to gild the western sky;
[p]And now it is about the
very hour
[p]That Silvia, at Friar Patrick's cell, should meet
me.
[p]She will not fail, for lovers break not hours,
[p]Unless it be
to come before their time;
[p]So much they spur their
expedition.
[p]See where she comes.
[p][Enter SILVIA]
[p]Lady, a happy
evening!
Silvia : Amen, amen! Go on, good Eglamour,
[p]Out at the postern by the
abbey-wall:
[p]I fear I am attended by some spies.
Eglamour : Fear not: the forest is not three leagues off;
[p]If we recover that,
we are sure enough.
