Easy frosted brownies
Yield: 1 Servings
Ingredients:
- 1/2 c Sugar
- 1/3 c Butter or margarine
- 2 tb Water
- 1 (6-ounce) package semisweet Chocolate morsels
- 1 ts Vanilla extract
- 2 Eggs
- 3/4 c All-purpose flour
- 1/4 ts Baking soda
- 1/4 ts Salt
- 1 c Chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1 (6-ounce) package semisweet Chocolate morsels (optional
- 1/2 c Chopped pecans or walnuts
Instructions:
(optional) Combine sugar butter and water in a medium saucepan; cook over high heat stirring frequently until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Add 1 package chocolate morsels and vanilla stirring until chocolate melts. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Combine flour soda and salt; stir dry ingredients and 1 cup pec into chocolate mixture.Pour batter into a greased and floured 9-inch square pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Cut into squares and serve plain or sprinkle 1 package chocolate morsels over hot brownies if desired. Let stand until morsels are softened; then spread evenly over brownies with a spatula. Sprinkle 1/2 cup pecans on top if desired. Let cool and cut into squares. Yield: 3 dozen.
