Sidney's cornbread
Yield: 6 Servings
Ingredients:
- 1/2 c Sifted flour
- 1 1/2 c Yellow cornmeal
- 1 ts Salt
- 2 ts Sugar
- 3 ts Baking powder
- 3 Eggs beaten lightly
- 1 c Milk
- 1/4 c Cream
- 1/2 c Butter
Instructions:
melted Sift the dry ingredients together in a bowl. Add the eggs and milk and beat with a spoon until the mixture is just moist. Beat in the cream and melted butter. (Do not overbeat.) Pour the batter into an 8 1/2 x 11-inch buttered pan. Bake at 400-degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Yield: approximately 12 pieces.
