Savory beef short ribs
Yield: 1 Servings
Ingredients:
- 3 lb Beef short ribs
- 2 Med. onions sliced
- 1 tb Packed brown sugar
- 1 pk Frozen lima beans
- 1 1/2 c Water
- 2 tb Vinegar & lemon juice
- 2 ts Salt
- 1/4 ts Ground ginger
- 4 Med. carrots cut in >>>>>
- 3 x 1/2" strips
- 2 Bay leaves
Instructions:
Trim excess fat from ribs. Brown in skillet and drain off excess grease. Add water onions vinegar salt pepper and bay leaf. Heat to boiling reduce heat cover and simmer for 1 hour. Add frozen beans carrots brown sugar and ginger. Heat to boiling reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are tender abt. 45 minutes. Remove vegetables make gravy. Gravy: 1 1/2 c. beef broth; 3 tbs. flour; 1/3 c. water. Mix ingredients and cook until smooth and thick.
