French market almond torte
Yield: 6 Servings
Ingredients:
- 8 tb Butter or pareve margarine
- 1 c Light brown sugar
- 1/2 ts Almond extract or flavor
- 1 Egg
- 5 tb Flour
- 1/2 c Pecans chopped
- 1/2 c Almonds chopped
- 1 c Heavy whipped cream
Instructions:
Cream butter and sugar; add almond flavor egg and flour. Blend well and add nuts. Shape ino roll wrap in foil and place in freezer. When ready to serve thaw abt. 30 min.. Slice 1" thick and top with whipped cream. Decorate with slivered almonds or additional chopped pecans.
