Homemade biscuits
Yield: 6 Servings
Ingredients:
- 2 c Unbleached white flour
- 1 tb Baking powder
- 2 ts Sugar
- 1 ts Salt
- 1/3 c Shortening
- 2/3 c Milk
Instructions:
{ Submitted by Betty Comeaux } Mix the flour baking powder sugar and salt with an electric hand mixer. Blend in the shortening. Mix in the milk with a fork. Knead about 12 to 15 strokes. Pat out on a floured surface 1/2- to 3/4-inch inch thick/ Cut and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 450-degrees. Yield: approximately 16 biscuits.
