Tourtiere (meat pie)
Yield: 6 Servings
Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb Pork cubed
- 1/2 lb Beef cubed
- 1 md Onion chopped
- 1/4 c Water
- 1 ts Salt
- 1/2 ts Pepper
- 1 ts Summer Savory
- 2 8" Pastry shells
Instructions:
A great recpie served around Christmas.Cook the Pork Beef and Onions in a medium sized pot over medium heat until cooked.You may have to add some water if required.Add salt pepper and summer savory and mix well.Line two 8" pastry pie pans with pastry and fill with the meat mixture.Cover with pastry and bake in an oven for about 1 hr. at 400 F.Serve hot
