Party nibbles: brie with cranberry chutney
Yield: 16 Servings
Ingredients:
- 1 Brie round - 8-inch MMMMM---------------------CRANBERRY-CHUTNEY--------------------------
- 1 c Cranberries
- 1/4 c Packed brown sugar
- 2 tb Green onion chopped
- 2 ts Lime juice
- 1 ts Pickled jalapeno
Instructions:
chopped Salt Pepper Toasted pecan halves(optl) Cranberry Chutney: In saucepan bring cranberries sugar and 1 tb water to boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes. Add onion lime juice jalapeno and salt and pepper to taste. Let cool slightly (Can be covered and refrigerated for up to 3 days.) Place Brie on ovenproof serving dish. Spoon chutney over top. Bake in 350F 180C oven for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is just starting to melt. Garnish with pecan halves (if using). Fresh berries may also be used to garnish.
