Wilted romaine-onion salad
Yield: 4 Servings
Ingredients:
- 1 Medium onion thinly sliced
- 1/3 c Vegetable oil
- 1 tb Sugar
- 1 ds Red pepper sauce Grated Swiss cheese
- 6 c Bite-sized romaine lettuce
- 3 tb Dry white wine
- 1 ts Instant beef bouillon
Instructions:
Grated Parmesan cheese Seasoned croutons Toss onions (cut into rings) and romaine in 4 individual salad bowls. Heat oil wine sugar bouillon and red pepper sauce to boiling stirring occasionally. Drizzle hot dressing on salads; sprinkle with cheese and croutons.
