Sousa portugese beans
Yield: 8 Servings
Ingredients:
- 2 lb Pinto beans
- 16 oz Tomato sauce
- 1 lg Onion chopped
- 1 Ham hock
- 1 Clove garlic
- 1/2 ts Cloves
- 1/2 ts Cinnamon
- 1/2 ts Nutmeg
- 1/2 ts Chili powder
- 3 ts Sugar
Instructions:
Salt and pepper Put beans into large pot and cover with 3 inches of water. Add all ingredients except the sugar and cook until done. Add the sugar. I like to throw in some Linguica sausage when I have it.
