Rice malgache
Yield: 4 Servings
Ingredients:
- 2 tb Butter
- 2 tb Chopped scallion
- 1 Green pepper coarsely -chopped
- 1 c Carolina rice
- 1 ts Salt
- 1 pn Saffron
- 1 c Consomme
- 2 c Boiling water
- 1) In a large saucepan
Instructions:
heat butter. Add scallion and Pepper Cook until browned. Add rice and cook stirring Constantly until rice is well coated with butter. 2) Add salt saffron consomme and water. Bring to a Boil Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until rice Has absorbed all the liquid. Serve hot.
