Orange & ginger cookies

Yield: 1 Batch

Ingredients:

• 3/4 c Shortening
• 1 c Brown sugar
• 1/2 c Molasses
• 1 Egg
• 2 tb Orange zest fine grated
• 2 1/4 c Flour
• 1 tb Ginger
• 1 ts Cinnamon
• 2 ts Baking soda
• 1/2 ts Salt MMMMM--------------------------COATING-------------------------------
• 1 tb Zest
• 1/2 c Sugar

Instructions:

Mix all in order given. Scoop out balls of dough and drop into coating. Toss then place on cooking sheet and flatten with the palm of your hand. Crystal coating of sugar on moist orange-ginger cookies .... heaven is a hot cookie!
