Old-fashioned pole beans
Yield: 10 Servings
Ingredients:
- 3 lb Pole beans; fresh
- 5 c Water
- 1 Ham hock; 1/2 lb.
- 2 ts Salt
- 1/4 ts Pepper
Instructions:
Remove strings from beans cutting beans into 2 inch pieces. Wash beans. Place water and ham hock in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 1 hour.
