Dahl soup
Yield: 6 Servings
Ingredients:
- 1 sm Onion minced
- 1/2 ts Cinnamon
- 1/2 ts Cumin ground
- 1 tb Oil
- 3 c Red lentils
- 1 ea Kombu strip
- 12 c Water Salt to taste
- 2 tb Cilantro
Instructions:
Lemon slices to garnish Saute onion cinnamon & cumin in oil in a stockpot until the onion is translucent about 2 minutes. Stir in the lentils kombu & water. Bring to a boil reduce heat cover & simmer for 1 hour. Season to taste & garnish with cilantro & lemon slices. Vegetarian Gourmet Fall 1995
