Shrimp with garlic (gaeng kua goong)
Yield: 4 Servings
Ingredients:
- 4 tb Vegetable oil
- 4 Cloves garlic crushed
- 2 lb Medium shrimp shelled & -deveined
- 14 oz Coconut milk
- 15 oz Straw mushrooms drained
- 1 ts Ground white pepper
- 2 tb Nam Pla (fish sauce)
- 4 tb Fresh cilantro
Instructions:
In a wok or medium deep pan with oil over medium heat stir fry garlic until golden brown. Add shrimp and stir for 3 minutes. Add the coconut milk straw mushrooms white pepper and fish sauce. Cook for about 10 more minutes or until shrimp is cooked. Garnish with coriander leaves. Note: 10 minutes may be too long for shrimp.
