Quick sally lunn

Ingredients:
- 4 c Cake flour; sifted
- 2 ts Baking powder
- 1/2 ts Salt
- 1/2 c Shortening
- 4 tb Sugar
- 1 ea Egg; beaten
- 1 c Milk
Instructions:
Sift flour once measure add baking powder salt and sift again. Cream shortening add sugar cream together thoroughly. Combine egg and milk. Add flour to creamed butter and sugar alternately with milk mixture small amount at a time beating after each addition until smooth.
