Hearty whole grain biscuits
Yield: 24 Biscuits
Ingredients:
- 8 oz Firm silken tofu
- 1/4 c Apple juice
- 1 c Wholewheat flour
- 1/2 c Rye flour
- 1/2 c Wheatgerm toasted
- 1 ts Baking powder
- 1 ts Baking soda
- 1/4 ts Salt optional
- 1/4 ts Sesame seeds
Instructions:
toasted Preheat oven to 450F & oil cookie sheets. Blend tofu until smooth & blend in the apple & lemon juices. Transfer to a medium-sized mixing bowl & set aside. Sift together remaining ingredients except the sesame seeds. Fold flours & seeds into tofu mixture. Turn out onto a lightly floured board roll out dough to 1/2" thickness cut with cookie cutter & bake for 12 minutes. Serve immediately.
