Fudgy brownies (quaker)
Yield: 16 Brownies
Ingredients:
- 6 oz Semi-sweet chocolate pieces
- 1/4 c Butter or margarine
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 c Sugar
- 1 c Quick Quaker Oats uncooked
- 1/2 ts Baking powder
- 1/2 ts Salt
- 3/4 c Chopped walnuts
Instructions:
Melt chocolate pieces and butter over hot (not boiling) water. Beat eggs until light and fluffy; gradually beat in sugar. Stir in oats baking powder salt vanilla walnuts and chocolate pieces. Pour batter into greased 8-inch square baking pan. Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 F.) 30 to 35 minutes. Cool; cut in squares. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar if desired.
