Walnut-cinnamon crisps
Yield: 6 Servings
Ingredients:
- 1 c Sugar
- 1 c Margarine or butter -softened
- 1 Egg separated
- 2 c All-purpose self-rising or -unbleached flour
- 1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
- 1 tb Water
- 1/2 c Very finely chopped walnuts
Instructions:
FROM: Theresa Merkling Heat oven to 350F. Mix sugar margarine and egg yolk. Stir in flour and cinnamon. Press in lightly greased jelly roll pan 15 1/2x10 1/2x1". (Or use 2 square pans one 8x8x2" and one 9x9x2".) Beat egg white and water until foamy; brush over dough. Sprinkle with walnuts. Bake 20 to 25 min or until very light brown.
