Old fashioned fudge
Yield: 24 Servings
Ingredients:
- 2 c Sugar
- 2/3 c Milk
- 1/4 ts Salt
- 1 ts Vanilla
- 2 oz Unsweet. choc./ 1/3 c. cocoa
- 1 tb Corn syrup
- 2 tb Margarine
- 1/2 c Chopped nuts (oppt.)
Instructions:
Mix Sugar Milk Choc. Corn syrup and salt. Cookover medium heat stirring constantly til choc. is melted and sugar is dissolved. Cook stirring occasionally to 234 degrees (until it forms a soft ball in a cold cup of water). Remove from heat add vanilla & margarine. Beat vigorous 5 to 10 min. with spoon until candy is thick & no longer glossy spread in buttered shallow dish.
