Ingredients:
- 2 c All purpose flour
- 1 tb Baking powder
- 4 tb Granulated sugar
- 2 tb Shortening
- 1 c Cream
- 1 Egg
- 3 c Any fresh or frozen fruits
Instructions:
-such as cherries halved -plums apple slices -apricots or rhubarb MMMMM-----------------------CRUMB TOPPING---------------------------- 3/4 c Granulated sugar 3/4 c All purpose flour 1/2 t Baking powder 2 tb Butter Cream Sift together flour baking powder and sugar; add shortening mixing well with fingers until fine crumbs form. Add the cream and the egg mixing well. Pat dough out on a greased cookie sheet pushing up sides. Top with a layer of desired fruit. To prepare crumb topping mix together sugar flour and baking powder. Rub in butter and enough cream to make coarse crumbs. Note: If using rhubarb gooseberries or other similarly tart fruit add extra sugar as desired. Speinkle crumbs over fruit and bake in 375 F8F oven for 25 - 30 minutes. Cut in squares and serve.
