Edie's steak soup (m_c-tx)
Yield: 8 Servings
Ingredients:
- 2 lb Ground chuck
- 1 Stick oleo or margarine
- 1/2 c Flour
- 2 Carrots diced
- 1 md To large onion diced
- 2 Celery stalks diced
- 2 md Potatoes diced
- 1 pk Frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 cn Tomatoes (15-20 oz.)
- 4 Beef bouillon cubes
Instructions:
Salt pepper and garlic -salt or garlic to taste In dutch oven size pan melt margarine. Add flour and stir until smooth. Add 2 cups water stir until smooth. Add 3 cups more water carrots celery potatoes mixed vegetables tomatoes bouillon cubes salt pepper and garlic. In separate pan brown meat and cook onion. Drain. Add to dutch oven. Simmer 1 1/2 hours. Freezes well.
