Quick graham bread
Yield: 6 Servings
Ingredients:
- 1/2 c Brown sugar
- 3/4 c Cold water
- 1/2 c Melted shortening
- 3/4 c Milk
- 1 c White flour
- 1 1/3 ts Salt
- 1 ts Baking soda
- 2 c Graham flour
Instructions:
Dissolve sugar in water; add shortening and milk. Sift white flour measure and sift with salt and baking soda. Add to first mixture. Add graham flour. Mix thoroughly. Bake in well-oiled bread pan in moderate oven (375 F) 1 hour. 1 loaf. The Household Searchlight - 1941
