Calves liver stroganoff
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 tb Reduced calorie mayonnaise + 1 c Plain lowfat yogurt;
- 2 ts Reduced calorie mayonnaise 1/2 ts Salt;
- 1 1/4 lb Calves liver; thinly sliced 1/4 ts Pepper;
- 1/2 c Onions; chopped 1 ds Worcestershire sauce;
- 1 c Mushrooms; chopped 1 tb Imitation bacon bits;
- 1/2 c Dry white wine; 2 c Noodles; cooked
Instructions:
Brown liver in margarine. Remove from skillet and keep warm on a platter in the oven. Cook mushrooms and onions until tender adding water if necessary to prevent drying. Add wine bring to a boil reduce heat add remaining ingredients and cook stirring until heated through. To serve divide noodles evenly onto 4 serving plates. Divide liver and place over noodles. Top with sauce. Per serving: 35g protein 13g fat 33g carb. 585mg sodium 453mg chol. 392 calories
