Orange filling
Yield: 1 Servings
Ingredients:
- 1 c Sugar
- 5 tb Cake Flour
- 1 ds Salt
- 1/2 c Orange juice
- 3 tb Lemon juice
- 1/4 c Water
- 1 Egg; well beaten
- 2 ts Orange rind; grated
- 2 ts Butter
Instructions:
Combine sugar flour and salt in top of double boiler; add fruit juice water and egg mixing thoroughly. Place over boiling water and cookr 10 minutes stirring constantly. Add orange rind and butter. Cool. Makes enough filling to spread between two 9-inch layers (generously) or between three 10-inch layers.
