Oven barbecued chicken
Yield: 1 Servings -
Ingredients:
- 3 To 4 pounds chicken pieces
- 1/3 c Chopped onion
- 3 tb Butter or margarine
- 3/4 c Ketchup
- 1/3 c Vinegar
- 3 tb Brown sugar
- 1/2 c Water
- 2 ts Prepared mustard
- 1 tb Worcestershire
- 1/4 ts Salt
- 1/8 ts Pepper
Instructions:
Heat a small amount of oil in a large skillet; fry chicken until browned. Drain; place chicken in a 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish. In a saucepan saut onion in butter until tender; stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes Pour over chicken. Bake at 350! about 1 hour or until chicken is done basting occasionally. Yield: 6-8 servings. From the files of Al Rice North Pole Alaska. Feb 1994
