Treacle toffee
Yield: 1 Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Demerara sugar
- 1/4 pt Water
- 4 oz Butter
- 1/4 ts Cream of tartar
- 3 tb Black treacle
- 3 tb Golden syrup
- 2 Drops vinegar
Instructions:
(LOSIN DU (TAFFI TRIOG OR CYFLAITH) Dissolve the sugar in the water. Add the buner cream of tartar treacle and syrup. Add 2 drops vinegar. Bring to the boil and heat to 270/F. or 131/C. Do not stir. Turn into a buttered tin. After 5 minutes cut into squares. Leave to set.
