Strawberry jam (parish)
Yield: 1 Servings
Ingredients:
- 2 qt Strawberries
- 5 1/2 c Sugar
Instructions:
Boiling water Wash & hull the berries. Place in a large pot. Cover with boiling water & let stand for 3 minutes. Drain. Add 2 1/2 cups of water boil hard for 3 minutes. Add remaining sugar & boil hard for another 3 minutes. Let stand overnight either in large bowls or platters. Ladle into serile jars. Seal. From Our Parish Kitchens Cookbook
