Seed luncheon loaf
Yield: 6 Servings
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Flour
- 4 oz Margarine
- 2 oz Butter
- 6 oz Sugar
- 2 ts Baking powder
- 1 ts Caraway seeds
- 3 oz Candied peel
- 2 Eggs A little milk
- 1/4 ts Salt
Instructions:
Sift together flour baking powder and salt. Rub in margarine and butter add sugar seeds and thinly sliced peel. Add beaten eggs with enough milk to make a light dough. Place in a well-greased loaf pan and bake 1 1/2 hours in a moderate oven (375F). (from FULL AND PLENTY Maura Laverty)
