Kohl's gingerbread
Yield: 1 Cake
Ingredients:
- 1/2 c Shortening
- 1/2 ts Salt
- 1 ts Cinnamon
- 1/2 ts Ginger
- 1/4 ts Nutmeg
- 1/8 ts Cloves
- 1/2 c Sugar
- 1 c Molasses
- 2 1/2 c Flour
- 1/2 ts Baking powder
- 1 ts Baking soda
- 1 c Boiling water
- 2 Eggs
Instructions:
Cream together shortening sugar and eggs. Mix together flour spices baking powder and baking soda. Mix together molasses and water. Add alternately liquid mixture and dry mixture to creamed mixture. Bake in a well-greased 9 x 13 inch pan in a preheated oven at 350 degrees 50-60 minutes.
