Corn bread
Yield: 12 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 c Cornmeal 1 Egg
- 1/2 ts Salt 1 tb Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 ts Baking Soda 1 c Buttermilk -or- Sour Milk (1
- 2 ts Baking Powder -cup Lowfat Milk + 1
- 1 tb Sugar -or- Honey -tablespoon vinegar)
Instructions:
Combine the cornmeal salt baking soda and baking powder in a bowl. Mix well. Pour into a lightly oiled 8-inch-square baking pan. Bake in a 400-degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
