Pepper cake
Yield: 8 Servings
Ingredients:
- 1 c Sugar
- 1/2 c Butter or margarine
- 3 Eggs beaten
- 1 ts Rum flavor
- 1 ts Vanilla flavor
- 1 1/2 c Flour
- 1/2 ts Black pepper
- 1/2 ts Salt
- 1 c Dates chopped
- 1 c Walnuts chopped
Instructions:
Cream butter and sugar fluffy. Beat in eggs and flavorings. Mix together flour pepper and salt. Blend flour mixture into creamed mixture. Mix in dates and nuts. Pour into a greased 8 x 8 inch pan. Bake 275 ( correct ) 45 minutes or tested done.Sift with confectioners sugar while warm.
