Tin lizzies
Yield: 10 Dozen
Ingredients:
- 1 c Brown sugar
- 1/2 c Butter or margarine
- 4 Eggs; well beaten
- 4 oz Bourbon
- 3 ts Baking soda; dissolved in . 3 Tbsp milk
- 1 lb Pecans; shelled
- 1/2 lb Raisins
- 1 lb Candied cherries; cut in 1/2
- 1 lb Candied pineapple
- 1 ts Cinnamon
- 1 ts Nutmeg ds Salt
- 3 1/2 c Flour; sifted
Instructions:
Cream the margarine and sugar. Add the eggs bourbon and milk mixture. Add all the remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet and bake at 250 degrees until brown as desired about 30 to 40 minutes. These cookies keep particularly well when stored in an airtight container.
