Yield: 6 servings
- 1 lb Italian sausage mild 1 cn Sauerkraut
- 27oz; undrained -cut into 1-inch slices 1 c -water
- 1 Onion lg. -chopped 1/2 c Brown sugar; packed
- 2 Apples; peeled and quartered 2 ts Caraway seed
In a skillet cook sausage and onion until sausage is brown and onion is tender; drain. Stir in apples sauerkraut water brown sugar and caraway seed. Transfer to a 2-1/2 quart baking dish. Cover and bake at 350F for 1 hour. Garnish with snipped parsley if desired.
