Hominy souffle
Yield: 8 Servings
Ingredients:
- 1 c Milk
- 1/2 c Hominy grits
- 3/4 ts Salt
- 1 c Water
- 2 tb Butter melted
- 3 Egg
Instructions:
separated well beaten 1. Scald milk and water in the top of a double boiler. 2. Add hominy grits stirring until thickened; cook 1 hour. 3. Cool; add butter salt and egg yolks blending well. 4. Gently fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. 5. Pour mixture into a well-buttered casserole; bake in preheated 325'F. oven 45 minutes. NOTE: A marvelous flavor that will be relished by all!
