Mincemeat squares
Yield: 16 Bars
Ingredients:
- 1 c Rolled oats
- 1 c All-purpose flour
- 1/4 ts Baking soda
- 1/4 ts Salt
- 1/2 c Brown sugar
- 1/2 c Shortening
- 1 1/4 c Mincemeat
- 1 tb Rum
Instructions:
Combine rolled oats flour baking soda salt and sugar. Cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly. Firmly press half of this mixture into an 8 inch square pan. Spread evenly with mincemeat flavoured with rum. Top with remaining crumb mixture packing down firmly with fingers. Bake at 350 F for 25 to 30 minutes.
