Curried pear halves
Yield: 4 Servings
Ingredients:
- 29 oz Can pear halves undrained
- 1/3 c Butter or margarine
- 3/4 c Dark brown sugar -firmly packed
- 1 ts To 2 t curry powder Commercial sour cream (opt)
- 1. Drain pear halves and reserve 1/3 cup of the liquid. Place pear
Instructions:
halves in shallow 1 1/2-quart heat-resistant non-metallic baking dish. 2. In a small heat-resistant non-metallic bowl melt butter or margarine in Microwave Oven 30 seconds. Stir in reserved pear liquid brown sugar and curry powder to taste. 3. Spread curry mixture over pears and heat uncovered in Microwave Oven 5 minutes or until heated through. Serve warm with dollops of sour cream if desired.
