Wenatchee applesauce muffins
Yield: 6 Servings
Ingredients:
- 2 c Unsifted all purpose flour
- 1/2 c Light brown sugar
- 1 tb Baking powder
- 1/2 ts Salt
- 1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
- 1/4 ts Ground nutmeg
- 1/4 c (1/2 stick) butter or -margarine
- 1 c Thick applesauce
- 1/4 c Milk
- 1 lg Egg
- 1/2 c Dark seedless raisins.
Instructions:
FROM: Pat Stockett Wenatchee Applesauce Muffins Heat oven to 425. Grease 12 muffin cups. In a bowl combine dry ingredients and blend. Melt butter in a saucepan. Remove from heat; stir in applesauce and milk. Beat in egg. Stir in applesauce mixture into dry ingredients and when well blended stir in raisins. Bake 15 to 20 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before removing muffins from tin.
