Through 9 am est...Strong thunderstorms producing wind gusts around 40 mph and very heavy rains will continue to move across metro miami- dade and broward counties. The strongest thunderstorms extend from boca raton and deerfield beach south to fort lauderdale, hialeah, and homestead. Rain rates of 1.5 to 2 inches per hour are possible with the strongest thunderstorms. All activity will be moving north around 15 miles an hour.
